    Dodos Dare to dream is a coming-of-age tale about a group of creative neurodivergent kids who form a special bond with mystical alien creatures known as the dodos. These muse-like beings inspire the kids to embrace their creativity and work together to save their town from losing its imagination, through a magical talent show, they rediscover the power of dreams and community, blending friendship and wonder into a heartwarming adventure.

    The films musical compositions harken back to the golden age of disney, evoking the same timeless magic that made classics like the lion king, beauty and the beast, and the littel mermaid so unforgettable. with soaring harmonies, lush orchestration, and melodies that feel like they've always existed in the heart, dodos brings back the kind of musical storytelling that defined the era when animation first captivated audiences world wide.

Dodos Dare to Dream

Dodos: Dare to Dream follows eleven-year-old Susie, a bright and imaginative girl who shares a unique bond with the Dodos—mystical, alien-like creatures that thrive on creativity and play. While most people dismiss them as mere legend, Susie can hear their songs and understand their whispers, making her the bridge between their world and her own. When she discovers that her town is losing its creative spark, she realizes the Dodos are fading too. Determined to save them, she gathers a team of extraordinary kids, each with their own artistic gift—music, painting, dance, storytelling, and invention—together forming a band of dreamers who can reawaken the town’s imagination.

With the Dodos as their guides, the group embarks on a magical adventure, using their talents to reignite creativity in those who have forgotten how to dream. Through music and art, they bring color back to a place that had grown dull, leading up to a spectacular talent show where the power of creativity takes center stage. But as they work to restore the town’s spirit, they uncover a deeper truth: the Dodos aren’t just muses—they hold the key to something much bigger, something that could change their world forever.

  • The dodos

    The Alien Muse Creatures, also known as The Dodos, are a playful and fun-loving species. Known for their ridiculous antics and silly behaviors, they navigate their world with delightful clumsiness. Their cooperative spirit, always helping each other in comical and endearing ways, makes their cosmic habitat a place of joy and laughter.

  • Susie

    Susie is an 11-year-old leader with a bright and dreaming spirit. Often described as having her "head in the clouds," Susie's imagination leads her on grand adventures. Her visionary nature not only makes her a natural leader among her peers but also fills her with endless curiosity and optimism, inspiring those around her to look beyond the ordinary.

  • Ling

    Ling, formerly Susie's closest ally, now viewed as a traitor, is becoming the "cool girl." Despite the fallout, her genius is indispensable, key to solving intricate puzzles. As she navigates the trials of her new identity and strained friendships, Ling's intellect and cool demeanor prove crucial, making her an essential part of their adventurous endeavors.

  • Matthius

    Matthius, the magical after-school teacher and conductor, is the one who still believes. Guiding the children to victories in their quests, he carries a long-lost love story with the principal. His enduring belief in imagination never wanes, making him a pillar of inspiration and wonder in the school, forever championing the magical and the possible.

  • Dave

    Dave, the school's principal, often misunderstood, is perennially caught between demanding PTA expectations and his duties. Formerly a playwright, Amidst these pressures, he harbors a poignant, long-lost love story with Matthius, blending personal vulnerability with professional resilience, making his leadership both complex and deeply human.

  • Teresa

    Teresa, often in detention alongside Susie, is known for spray-painting murals on school walls. While some label it vandalism, she and her friends see it as magic. Having grown up too fast due to the responsibility of caring for her younger siblings, Teresa finds solace and expression in her art, brightening people's days and transforming spaces with her vibrant creations.

  • Howie

    Howie, a vibrant presence always in detention, unites the school community through the power of dance. Openly queer, he's renowned for initiating vogueing battles in the hallways, turning ordinary days into celebrations of movement and expression. With Howie around, joy is never far away, as he ensures that everyone can find a good time wherever he goes.

  • Eddie

    Eddie, the class clown, is a regular in detention, known for making a joke out of everything. With his quick wit and relentless humor, he has an uncanny ability to brighten anyone's day. Even in the most mundane or challenging situations, Eddie’s infectious laughter and light-hearted antics bring a spark of joy and relief to those around him.

Dare to dream teenage creative arts program

At Bubble Studios, we believe that creativity is a gateway to transformation. Our mission is to cultivate a world where storytelling, music, and animation empower young minds to embrace their unique genius.

Through The Dodos and our broader creative initiatives, we are building an afterschool arts program designed to uplift and support neurodivergent and gifted teens—especially those navigating unconventional life paths. Many of these young visionaries struggle within traditional education systems, yet they hold boundless potential in music, dance, animation, creative arts and other unique pathways.

Our program will provide mentorship, education, resources, and access to art supplies and instruments, ensuring that every child knows their brilliance is seen, valued, and nurtured. We aim to create a space where their talents can flourish, helping them find community, confidence, and a sense of purpose through artistic expression.
